Daily Announcements for September 8, 2026

IMPORTANT  REMINDER!  The school will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026 due to Labor Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

ANN’S CLOSET REMINDER – Ann’s closet is open this FRIDAY during ALL lunch periods.  The closet is open to all Glenbard East students and staff who wish to “shop.” All items are FREE! We welcome everyone to join us to look for new clothes or even to “recycle” your old clothes by donating them. Donation boxes are located by the Visitor Entrance, Door 17, and Door 20. Ann’s closet is open during all lunch periods on the 2nd and 4th FRIDAYS of every month and is located on the 1st floor under the J stairway.

Boys and Girls Gymnastics: Open gyms for boys and girls gymnastics will be on Wednesdays from 3:05-4:15 in the gymnastics balcony which is located on the third floor. BSU/S2S: Join us on September 10th in the library right after school(3:10pm) for our Welcome Back event for Black Student Union and Sister 2 Sister! Fun, Food, and fellowship for all students who want to learn about our culture, get to know new people and just hang out. We’ll meet every other Thursday in Room 304 after this first meeting in the library. Bring a friend and see you there!  Contact Ms. Gariecia Rose and/or Dr. Monday for more info. 

Dodgeball Tournament: Create a team of 6 by completing the form to compete in the dodgeball tournament during Homecoming Week, Tuesday, September 8th in the East Gym.  The game starts at 6:00pm!  All are welcome to watch and cheer on their favorite team!

Need homework help? STRIVE meets Mondays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays in RM 251 from 3:05-4:05 PM.

Science STRIVE meets Monday, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 7:25 AM in RM 168. Wednesdays in RM 168  at 3:05 PM.
