January 22, 2026

Due to an Extreme Cold Warning issued for the DuPage County region, Glenbard Township High School District 87 will implement an emergency e-learning day on Friday, January 23, 2026.

An emergency e-learning day means:

  • There will be no in-person learning
  • All school buildings and the district office will be closed
  • All instruction and coursework will take place online
  • Transportation services will not be available for any students, including those attending on-site or off-site campuses

Student Instructions
Students should log into Schoology after 8:00 a.m. on Friday to access their lessons and assignments for the day and to complete the required attendance check-in with their second-period teacher.

After-School Activities
Practices will be held for varsity-level teams only, and COMPETITIONS at all levels will GO FORWARD as scheduled. Families and students should continue to monitor school communications for any updates from coaches or activity sponsors.

*Students participating in the DECA Regional Competition will receive additional information directly from their club sponsors as we review all relevant facts in making a final decision.

The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. Thank you for your flexibility as we navigate winter weather conditions.

Sincerely,

Jessica Santee
Superintendent
Glenbard Township High School District 87
