IMPORTANT  REMINDER!  The school will be closed on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 for General Election Day.  Classes will resume on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

Attention Sophomores and Juniors!  Want to explore a career, trade, or technical field and maybe earn college credit while in high school? Join the Technology Center of Dupage Field Trip on Thursday, December 5th, to see what TCD has to offer. TCD offers 16 different programs in areas such as Automotive, Fire Science, Nursing, Cosmetology, and much more!  

Pick up your field trip permission slip in the School Counseling Office today!  The deadline to turn in the field trip form is Tuesday, November 12th. Spots fill up fast and are first come, first serve, so don’t delay.

Celebrate AAPI Diversity!: Calling all speakers, poets, musicians, artists, and performers! Join the Asian American Student Association and Glenbard North, South, and West for the fourth Asian American and Pacific Islander Read-In on Wednesday, November 13th from 4:15 pm-5:45 pm! All students and faculty are welcome to participate, win prizes, and celebrate AAPI stories! Please see the instructions below if you’d like to participate as a performer:

• Fill out the form and submit it by Friday, November 1st, 2024.
• Explore the Collection Of Asian American Pieces (or find one on your own), and choose a piece to perform live at the event or record for viewing at the event. Feel free to visit the LLMC for curated poetry and excerpts for the read-in. Participants are also welcome to create original pieces (poems, essays, stories, or songs) that honor AAPI voices to perform live or record for the event on November 13th, 2024.

Submissions and selections of pieces will be due by Tuesday, November 5, 2024. More instructions will follow once you’ve registered. Email [email protected] with any questions.

Best Buddies: Come join Best Buddies for a Circus Party on Wednesday, November 6th after-school in Rm. 166 until 4:20pm. There will be games, dancing, art projects, and treats (including fresh cotton candy!). All questions can be directed to [email protected]. 

Girls and Boys Gymnastics: The last open gym will be on Nov 6th from 3:15 – 4:30 in the gymnastics balcony. No experience is necessary, come give it a try. Also if you plan on trying out for either team make sure you have a current physical on file in the athletic office and are registered on your parents PowerSchool. Girls tryouts begin Nov 11th. Boys’ season is in the spring.
