AASA Fire Noodle Fundraiser: Join AASA in Room 303 on Wednesday, April 17 for the Fire Noodle Challenge and Fundraiser. For $4, contestants will be given Buldak noodles and an ice cream sandwich. After the contest, students will be able to create sidewalk chalk art in preparation for Relay for Life! for the combo price of $4. Price to participate will increase to $5 on April 17!
Improv for fun and better mental health. All are welcome! When: April 15, Monday, from 6 pm-7 pm Where: NEW LOCATION! Glenbard West High School, Library, Glen Ellyn. sponsored by Reality Illinois /the Teen Board to the DuPage County Health. Improvisational theater can take youth outside of themselves and bring a mediation that can calm the mind. It can build trust, helping members feel safe, take risks, and be better at being in the moment. Compass Health Center will lead the workshop to explore the concept of acceptance and all will walk away with concrete coping skills that work. No registration is required. PRISM – Day of Silence: PRISM will be promoting Day Of Silence on Friday, April 12th. Day of Silence is a national student-led demonstration where LGBTQ+ students and allies all around the country take a vow of silence to highlight the harmful effects of harassment and discrimination of LGBTQ+ people in schools. Students, staff, and allies are encouraged to wear any pride gear (pins, stickers, t-shirts, etc.) Students who are participating in Day of Silence will: 1) notify teachers prior to 4/12 that they are participating and 2) wear a sticker signifying that they are participating in Day of Silence. STRIVE: Due to testing this week, STRIVE will be open before school on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. It will be open after school on Monday only. STRIVE will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday. Stop by Room 251 while we’re open to get help from teachers!
