REGISTRATION ONLINE

For your convenience, all athletic registration will be performed online in PowerSchool at ps.glenbard.org/public.

ATHLETIC PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT

A student MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN ANY TRYOUT OR PRACTICE UNLESS A CURRENT IHSA PHYSICAL FORM (ALSO AVAILABLE IN SPANISH) IS ON FILE IN THE ATHLETIC OFFICE.  The physical form (not more than 1 year and 1 month old) from a doctor’s examination needs to be on file with the Athletic Office by the start of first practice for your sport.  Physicals can be emailed to [email protected] or [email protected].

REQUIREMENT TO COMPLETE REGISTRATION FOR SCHOOL BEFORE REGISTRATION FOR A SPORT

You must register your student for school before registering your student for a sport.  For questions, call (630) 424-6700 or email [email protected].

ATHLETIC PARTICIPATION FEE REQUIREMENT

The athletic participation fee is $175 per year, per student.  Payment of the fee allows your student to participate in unlimited sports.

The Athletic Participation Fee must be paid before your student can participate in a sport. If you want this optional fee to be included in your PAYMENT PLAN, you must select this fee and register your student for school online by Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

GAME UNIFORMS DISTRIBUTION POLICY

NO GAME UNIFORMS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED UNTIL CURRENT PHYSICAL AND ATHLETIC FEE PAYMENT OR WAIVER HAVE BEEN TURNED IN TO THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT OR COACH.  Each sport handles this process in its own unique way.

STEPS TO REGISTER YOUR STUDENT FOR A SPORT

1. Click a student’s name from Step 2 of the PowerSchool Online Registration Wizard.
2. Read and agree to the agreements that appear on screen.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to register your student for Athletics, complete the electronic forms, and pay the fee.

INSURANCE

It is strongly recommended that all athletes purchase the 24-hour optional insurance protection plan.  For more information, contact the Athletic Department.  Your $175 athletic fee does not include insurance. Insurance forms are available at registration, by asking your coach, or stopping by the Athletic Office.

START DATE FOR FALL SPORTS SEASON

• The IHSA start date for all fall sports is Monday, August 10, 2026.

ATHLETIC PARENT NIGHT (MANDATORY)

A MANDATORY parent meeting for ALL registered athletes and families will be held on Monday, August 18 @ 6:00pm to discuss the vision/mission of East Athletics, Code of Ethics and other topics pertinent to any student participating in the Fall Sports Program.

ATHLETIC TRANSFER STUDENTS

Transfer athletes who are new to Glenbard East must meet with the Assistant Principal of Athletics to complete all requirements for “IHSA Transfer Eligibility” prior to the first competition date.

BUS TRANSPORTATION

The Glenbard East Athletic Department will provide bus transportation for our northwest communities (e.g. Glendale Heights, Bloomingdale, Addison) with arrivals approximately 30 minutes prior to practice times. Routes will be shared with coaches and posted to our website once confirmed with the bus company.
