Important Reminder: District-Wide ACT/PreACT Testing

This is a reminder regarding state-required ACT testing taking place the week of April 13, which will impact the school schedule for all students.

Testing Schedule and Grade-Level Impact

  • Wednesday, April 15, 2026: ACT with Writing
    • Who is testing: All juniors (Grade 11) and seniors (Grade 12)  who missed the School Day ACT last year. (This exam is a college entrance exam and an Illinois graduation requirement). 
    • School Impact: No school for freshmen, sophomores, and seniors.
  • Thursday, April 16, 2026: PreACT Secure
    • Who is testing: All freshmen (Grade 9) and sophomores (Grade 10). (This exam measures student growth and readiness for the ACT).
    • School Impact: No school for juniors and seniors.

Note: Students in the Life Skills program will attend scheduled classes that follow the standard testing schedule on both days.

Students testing with a multiple day accommodation will test on both days. 

Important Reminders

  • Testing Location: Students will receive an email sent to their school Gmail account with their specific testing location no later than the end of the school day on Tuesday.
  • Registration: Students do not need to register for these state-administered exams.
  • Scores: Scores from these tests will be used for Glenbard course enrollment recommendations.
  • Make-Up Date: The make-up date for both exams is Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
