Illinois Science Assessment (ISA) for Grade 11
|March 24, 2021
District 87 will test all Juniors on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 during periods 1-5. All students will test in person using their iPads. These students will be excused from attending ALL of their classes on Wednesday, March 24. Freshman, Sophomores, and Seniors will follow their normal schedule. Due to Science teachers administering this test, all science classes will offer asynchronous learning opportunities on March 24 for all freshman, sophomore and senior courses. This means students will not login to their SCIENCE livestream classes on that day, but instead complete the work assigned by the teacher. Contact Nick Scipione ([email protected]) if you have questions specific to this assessment.
Normal bus routes will be in place for students that take transportation to and from school. The testing schedule for juniors will be as follows:
7:30 – 7:45 Attendance and Test Administration
7:45 – 8:30 Session #1
8:30 – 8:45 Break
8:45 – 9:00 Test Administration

Note: Grade 11 students for whom DLM-AA is the more appropriate assessment will continue to participate in the DLM-AA in lieu of the ISA.
ACCESS for English Language Learners
|April 21 & 28, 2021
ACCESS testing will take place April 21 and April 28. All students who qualify for ELL services are required to take this test annually. Even if an ELL student is not currently enrolled in an ELL class and/or has a parent refusal, s/he must take the test per ISBE guidelines. If a student misses a class due to the test, they will come up as an excused absence in PowerSchool. Contact Sarah Hoisington if you have questions about this assessment.
Students will need to wear a mask, complete the self-certification to enter the building on their phones or iPads, and maintain social distancing.
Most of our Advanced Placement students have registered for their AP Exams. Click here for the 2021 exam schedule set by the College Board. If your child did not sign up for an exam and would like to there still is time. A $40 late fee will be charged on top of the testing fee. Contact our AP Coordinator Scott Lilly if you have questions. He can be reached at [email protected] or by calling 630.627.9250.
