About Glenbard East High School
Glenbard East High School, located in the heart of Lombard, has been a proud part of the Glenbard Township High School District 87 community since opening in 1959. What began with 525 students and 28 staff members has grown into a vibrant school of approximately 2,250
students today, representing Lombard and portions of Glendale Heights, Addison, and Bloomingdale.
With a wide range of academic pathways, extracurricular opportunities, and a strong culture of belonging, Glenbard East is known for helping students thrive both in and out of the classroom.
The school’s colors—red, black, and white—and its Ram mascot reflect a long-standing tradition of spirit and resilience. The nickname RAMS stands for Right Attitude Means Success, a motto that continues to inspire students each day. Glenbard East competes in the IHSA’s Upstate Eight Conference, offering students competitive athletic opportunities and leadership experiences across a full range of sports and activities.
