Daily Announcements for December 8

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Join the Student Council in celebrating our second annual Winter Wonder Week. You’ll find the dress up days (yes we have a PJ day) and how you can make your own hot chocolate bomb here.

All Students:  Do you need assistance with your projects and assignments or help studying for an upcoming test?  STRIVE teachers are here to help you in person before and after school in Room 251, or in Room 100 for Science.  STRIVE is open before school Monday-Friday and after school Tuesday-Thursday.  Come and get the help you need!

East Film Showcase: Come see and celebrate the films of Glenbard East students on Wednesday, December 8th at 4:30pm till 5:45pm in Rider Auditorium. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend. The films highlighted in this year’s showcase will range from music videos, movie trailers, Tik-toks, and featured short films.

PRISM: Join Glenbard East’s PRISM club this Wednesday, December 8th where members of our LGBTQIA+ community can connect with one another, share experiences, and have fun! PRISM aims to promote acceptance, understanding, and support of all students in our school community. All are welcome regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. We will meet from 2:30-3:30pm in room 202. If you have any questions, please email Ms. Wagner at [email protected].

Guitar Club returns Friday, December 10 from 2:40 to 3:30 in the Orchestra Room. This is our last meeting of the semester! New and experienced players are welcome, and all equipment is provided. Bring a friend! Contact Mr. Fawkes, [email protected], with questions.

Hot Chocolate? Join us in the Library on Friday, 12/10 at 2:40pm to wind-down from the stress of studying for finals at AASA’s Holiday Event. We’ll be doing some crafts, playing games, and drinking hot chocolate with the best of people! Bring yourself and a friend! Follow us on @gbe_aasa on Instagram for more information. See you there!

December is Universal Human Rights Month, a time for people in the United States and around the world to join together and stand up for the rights and dignity of all individuals.
